26A – Celebrating Failure
1) One way I have failed this last semester was trying to read multiple business books at the same time while working full-time and studying part-time. It’s just not doable.
2) I learned that trying to do multiple things at the same time can be possible, however I will not be able to do all of them to the best of my ability given the time constrains. If I want to do the things I want to do, well, then I need to let of the things that are not crucial.
3) Failure is never fun, at least not as you go through it. Its disappointing to ourselves and to those around us that have seen us fail. The way I have dealt with failure recently was first being disappointed, but it did not take long for me to recover from it and keep going.
I believe that this course has helped me be more optimistic about failure, not that anyone should seek failure, however, it is part of the process and that is okay. I have also learned that we can possibly learn more from a failure experience than from a successful experience. Yes, I am more likely take risks now than I were just a few months ago.

ReplyDeleteI also often put too much on my plate. I sometimes work too much during the week and end up late having to finish my homework. I am pretty good at multi tasking but still find it hard to put equal effort into all things if I'm doing them at the same time. I agree that failure is not fun but it is important for everyone to go through. If we fail at small things they can teach us lessons so we do not fail at more important things in the future.

ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you. I would believe that this class has been more of what we expected at first! Sometimes we have many things to do, but everything can be doable if you think that it will be real. You may say that I sound very positive or optimistic, but I have learned to do so through the years. All you desire to do or be, will become reality once you commit yourself to it.
