30A – Final Reflection
Although this is the end of our journey together in ENT 3003, you now have a set of experiences that you can use to better navigate the future. My hope is that each of you have, to one extent or another, developed an entrepreneurial mindset. That you keep a sharp eye out for problems, and you're willing to offer a solution.

For this final reflection, I'd like you to do a few things:

1) Read through your posts from this semester. Recall all of the experiences you've had a long the way -- the highs, the lows -- the fun moments, and the moments of drudgery, and even the moments of dread.

2) What sticks out to you as the most formative experience? The experience that you'll remember years later? What was your most joyous experience? What experience are you most proud of yourself for accomplishing?
I believe the one assignment I will always remember is one of the first assignments we did, the bug list. The reason I really liked this specific assignment was because it was very simple, yet extremely effective way of finding entrepreneurial opportunities. This was probably the most joyful experience in this course. I am proud of doing this whole process, it was literally a journey of developing a business idea and testing it from multiple perspectives. I believe this was a very effective way of learning about entrepreneurship.

3) At the beginning of the semester, I mentioned that I wanted each of you to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Now, at the end, do you see yourself as an entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset?
Even before class, I have always seen myself as a person with an entrepreneurial mindset. With that said, I truly believe this course has helped me broaden my entrepreneurial mindset. It has helped me see things in a way in which I had not seen them before as well as given me tools to further develop entrepreneurial opportunities.

4) What is the one recommendation you would make to the students who are going to journey down this path in the future? What would you recommend they do to perform best in this course? What would you recommend they do to foster that mindset?
I would recommend for them to set a deadline for planning and studying their business idea. Once they have reached that deadline, if the idea is viable, for them to actively start pursuing it. If not, for them to disregard and move forward with another idea.
For students are going to take this course in the future, my suggestion is for them to pick a business idea in which they truly believe, that way they will be excited about completing each of the assignments of this course.

  1. Hi Arthur,
First, I would like to say that has been a pleasure working with you in this class. Your feedback has been positive during this semester, and has enriched my posts. I believe that all of us have developed an entrepreneurial mindset, even if we had never learned about it before. Let me know when you have your business up-and- running-I am sure it is going to be very soon. All the best.
