Regulatory Trends Opportunities

1) Tax cut for corporate companies in the US

Answers
A) https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2018-05-25/trump-tax-cut-is-gift-that-keeps-on-giving-to-corporate-america
B) This law passed by President Trump decreases corporate taxes that topped at 35% to a flat 21%. It is an opportunity for all of these companies who are now benefiting by paying less taxes, to invest this money in other areas of their businesses. It is also an opportunity to bring manufacturing operations that had been previously relocated outside the US due to high amount of tax to be paid before this law.
C) Everyone living and working in the US. The companies now have open better job opportunities and some companies have even given employees a generous bonus only because this tax cut. More information about that can be found here:

This is the unmet customer (employers and as a consequence employees) need for more money which is something that they were not even expecting.
D) This opportunity is relatively easy to be exploited. These corproate companies don't have to do anything extra, all they have to do is file their taxes as usual but now they will pay less more for it.
E) I saw this opportunity since I work in a small company and this tax cut makes a huge difference when we pay our taxes every year.

C) All patients who need medical marijuana given their medical condition.
D) It is relatively difficult to exploit given the fact that marijuana can be used for other recreational purposes. So, patients who need it will need to have a medical document that allows them to make the purchase.
E) I saw this opportunity as I work for a cosmetics manufacturing company and I received call/emails every month asking if we make products with marijuana or CBD oil.

  1. Hi Arthur,

I noticed that you also wrote about the legalization of Marijuana in Florida. I think that if it is ever fully legalized the state there will be many business opportunities that people will be able to take advantage of. I also think it would boost certain sectors of our economy such as farming, tourism, and recreation. So looking at it from a purely business stand point I think it would actually benefit the state in many ways.

  2. Hello Arthur,

I enjoyed reading your post and it’s interesting to see that large companies are now not requiring a college degree to obtain the job. That’s awesome for those who couldn’t afford school. Now, they can be given the same chance as everyone else who applies. For the most part, those who don’t have a college degree either work a couple of jobs just to get by or live paycheck to paycheck, so this would very beneficial to them. Good post!!

  3. Hi Arthur,
I did enjoy reading your post! The opportunities you chose are part of our daily lives. However, I think that the trend to decreasing of the unemployment rate, is a problem that affect our homes and families. If it is true that has been the lowest rate in years, the quality of the jobs for the employees is not the same. The trend of employment is getting part-time jobs, which, in majority, do not offer any kind of benefits. People needs to subsist and, for so, many prefer to have up to two or three jobs.
I also have heard about the initiative of the large U.S. companies of hiring employees without requiring a college degree. But what type of jobs are been offered? For recent high school graduates would be helpful if they are seeking for their superior studies. I would have loved to have this opportunity of working and studying, back in time, when I was seeking my first bachelor’s degree.
